IIC Member Organizations Launch Letter-a-Day Campaign Urging Congress to Oppose Anti-Immigrant Proposals

As Congress considered bills that are harmful to immigrants, Member Organizations of the IIC will send a letter to Congress everyday for the next three weeks urging them to oppose any proposed legislation that would undo the Administration’s recent action on immigration, including amendments to the DHS spending bill H.R. 240, and that would militarize our border, including H.R. 399 Secure Our Borders First Act. We also encourage Congress to stand against bills that would criminalize immigrants and remove critical protections for children and other individuals seeking safety and refuge.

Our Letter-A-Day campaign asks Congress to stand with us in support of legislation that upholds the dignity and human rights of all immigrants.  Below are the letters we have sent so far:
